In 2015, Team TargetCancer Foundation (Team TCF) received two invitational entries through the Boston Marathon’s non-profit charity program. Since then, our team has continued to grow due to our runners’ incredible fundraising efforts. In 2024, Team TCF was awarded ten invitational entries and designated an Official Charity of the Boston Marathon.

In addition to months of effort training for one of the world’s most elite marathons, members of our team simultaneously raise awareness about rare cancers in their local communities and fundraise to support our rare cancer research and advocacy programs. All funds raised by the team go directly to TCF and are put to work in real-time to help patients, families, and researchers. We are grateful to the members of Team TCF and their communities for this incredible support.

Our sincere thanks to the Boston Athletic Association for providing TargetCancer Foundation with Boston Marathon bibs.

It is no surprise that this team, whose members were selected from our most competitive field of applicants in Team TCF history, has set an ambitious fundraising goal of surpassing $100,000 by April 15, 2024! Your support will be invaluable as they fundraise and train leading up to Marathon Monday.

Please join us in congratulating Lauren, Colleen, Patrick, Katie, Emlen, Anne, Caroline, Jeff, DJ, and Jane, and wishing them good luck as they prepare for the 128th Bank of America Boston Marathon!

If you are an officially qualified runner who has a bib for the 2024 Marathon, contact us to learn more about how you can join Team TargetCancer Foundation.

Running has always brought me hope — I started running long distances after several years of losing close friends and family to cancer. I’m running the Boston Marathon with Team TargetCancer to join them in turning hope into action by raising awareness and funding critical research for rare cancers.
